what is the cherry blossom festival for?

it is for these reasons: 

- to take pictures with your namja/yuhjah chingoo [boyfriend/girlfriend]
- to take useless pictures of trees
- to get squished and pushed by random ahjummas [old ladies]
- to eat silkworms, also known as beondegi [which smell HORRIBLE]
- to drink soju with friends on a blanket towards the han river
- to show off your face on facebook/myspace/cyworld

is it just me or do i always find the faults in everything? darn red personality.. (don't know what that means? ask me in the comments :D )..

today, alivia and i woke up at 6:20am to go to a church in the middle of nowhere. the church was so small i could count everyone!! my hadaboji  [grandpa] wanted me to play "the holy city" so i prepared it with a piano part. we get to the church and no one can play the piano part!! D: i.was.devastated. and a little annoyed. i still played the song even though it sounded weird and i still got compliments O.o probably out of pity hehe. but i don't mind. it's my hadaboji's favorite song and i played it the best i could! in return, my hadaboji gave me a kiss on the cheek!! aww i feel so special. why did we go to this random church, again? welllll my hadaboji is a retired pastor but still speaks every so often. i wish i could understand what he was talking about.. everyone else seem to enjoy it. boo for not understanding korean..

anyways, we hung out with my mom's friend, genny kim, and her daughter, chloe! we ate at kraze burgers, went to the cherry blossom festival, and finally ended up at coffee bean for some hot chocolate!

ooh.. he looks a little pissed right here. i did nott take this picture at a good time.  i swear though, he is a very happy and funny person!

later that day...

while we were walking to the subway, i smelled this wonderful goodness and immediately told my mother i wanted some. she said yes.

i burnt myself with this custard.. I DIDN'T KNOW!!! I'M SORRY!!!

this is a food stand

they sell drinks, dukkboki, some pastries, and a couple other things. if you talk to them without buying anything, they will be extremely rude!

their menu!

chili cheese fries: the cheese in korea is not the same as the one in america. it goes for the chili too. but i liked it!

they were a little too salty for my taste though. almost forgot to tell you, koreans eat their fries and hamburgers with a fork and a knife! weird right?!

k.s. burger: lettuce, tomato, homemade pickles that tasted very strange, raw onions, a beef patty, and their special hot sauce

i'm not a huge fan of the special sauce but it was pretty good!

vege and bean: looks tasty. i'll have to ask auntie yoomi if it was good. i think it was because she ate this exceptionally fast.

how in the WORLD do you spell panda wrong? the weirdest thing was, a white guy was wearing this.

then we went to see the cherry blossoms

it was pretty hard to take pictures since my camera isn't the really nice ones and the only light there was was street lamps

there were these colored lights on the ground too. they made the trees look like they were different colors

why do i look so nasty? well what would you look like if you went to church at 6:45am, rode in a taxi, bus, and car for a total of 6 hours? 

yeah my day was pretty hectic. but relaxing is what sundays are for! just kidding :) i really liked today; it was busy but relaxing at the same time. do you know what i mean?
