why does time fly when you're having fun?

why can't time fly when you're bored instead? No me gusta muy mucho. ha. looks like i learned some spanish right? no. i used google translate. just like when i try to type korean -__-

today, my mom, auntie yoomi, ella, elise, and emily went to shinram jimjilbang. emily had SO MUCH FUN. she said it was probably the best day in korea :) as for me, i stayed home and watched lucas and logan. where was alivia? she went out to eat at some really good restaurant with my halmoni [grandma] and halaboji [grandpa]. the beginning of the day was a little sucky but after 7:00pm, i was very happy. why you ask? BECAUSE I WENT SHOPPING, duhh. hehe. yes. we went to dongdaemun for the billionth time. but it was most definitely worth it. i got more clothes!! yeeeee. okay, forget nordstrom and forever 21. my favorites stores are doota and migliore [pronounced mi-li-oh-re]. no more shopping till i go to korea again!! just kidding..

on monday..
my mom, auntie yoomi, elise, auntie lynda, halmoni, and halabjoi went to chang gyung goong palace to eat

dukk balls and beef patties

of course, every restaurant has to have moo kimchi soup

i don't know what these are but they look super good

and so pretty <3

doesn't really look like it but this is dwenjangjigae. it looks really good too :(
yesterday, we ate at estia's house for dinner. holy cow it was good.

of course, we prayed for our food. not because we thought it might kill us but because we wanted to bless the hands that made it

this is ella, logan, lucas, and emily's taekwondo teacher. looks kinda scary, right?

the guy behind the kids is not some random guy, don't worry. he's the taekwondo teacher's son.

this is elise's piano teacher of one month. [she took piano lessons instead of taking taekwondo]

lucas, logan, emily, ella, and elise come to the store after taekwondo. this lady made lots of money off of us!

this is our last day guys..

we HAD to eat another belgium waffle!!!!! i'm definitely stealing auntie yoomi's waffle maker when i get home.
this will probably be the last post i do in "my" korean home. do you remember when i said i really didn't like this place? well i can honestly say that i will miss this. :( i can't wait till i come here again! i wanna try more restaurants, shop in more places, go to everland, and more. i'm going to make a list of what i want to do the next time i come. hopefully i'll actually do everything. hopefully....

oh and i wanted to ask you guys, should i continue this blog or just leave it? thanks for reading! please pray for me and my family so we can have a safe trip back home!

okay i lied..

i just feel like i haven't done anything exciting enough to put on this blog. sure we've met up with some people but my camera isn't very good at taking pictures so they didn't come out THAT well. some of them are yellow thanks to the lighting and my "professional camera. i WILL get a nice camera! after i work at my dad's office for the summer and maybe during the school year, i WILL earn enough money to buy a nice camera! and i WILL get an amazing PSAT and SAT score so my parents don't have to pay for my college tuition! oh man. i better get to work.

in the four days that i haven't blogged, we met up with my cousin's mom's brother, john kim. we also met up with a john pak. three days in a row, we met up with a john lee, a john kim, and a john pak. are there any other johns that we need to meet up with?

ji ri san. this is where we ate for lunch! [actually it was breakfast for me haha. that's how late i've been waking up]

japchae! this was REALLY good. out of all the banchans,  i ate this the most.

half of the banchans
the other half. that cucumber was good too. lucas LOVED the potato salad. i think he ate 3 plates of that.

jukk and dwen jang ji gae. you can see the moo kimchi below the jjuk. i didn't get to try it though :/

our water. just kidding. it's shik hae hehe

uncle john and the 6 dwarves
the next day, we met up with uncle john, uncle ken, auntie cathy, and their parents.

while the adults when out to eat, i made grilled cheese for the children

i really wish this was clear. it looked reallly good. tasted even better too! [if i do say so myself]

now you must understand that korean cheese tastes a lot different than american cheese. i honestly don't know how to explain it, it just, doesn't taste as good.

but they were okay with it. see their happy faces?

i really do LOVE elise. she is HILARIOUS.

when we don't know what to eat, we eat eggs and mayo on bread.

it's actually really good. i'm gonna make this for myself in america! [the mayo tastes a little different too. it kinda tastes like oil o.O it's still sorta good]

our goodbye cake
yes we had a goodbye cake. how could we not?! it's soo sad :(

this cake is a strawberry and pistachio cake. it was gone in a matter of minutes.

instead of getting the cake from paris baguette, we decided to try a cake from paris croissant, if you didn't know. :)
yes well i don't know what we're doing tomorrow but i'm starting to get really depressed. we only have one more suitcase to fit the rest of the clothes and gifts..sigh. i hope i can come here again next year! it'll definitely be easier to shop next time. we know where to get stuff and what is and what isn't cheap. alksjdf;lakdjs;alkdsjfa;lksdj;alkjd I DON'T WANNA LEAVE :'(

to get off the SAD subject..

logan has been talking about his "bubbles" quite a bit ;)

homework is the answer

to what i've been doing. on wednesday, all i did was do homework. my mom met up with some friends but i don't think she took any pictures. if she did, then i'll have to put it on tomorrow's post.

on thursday, i did homework for half of the day then went to dongdaemun and ate the same food i did this day. we got some pretty good stuff on thursday ;) my family, at least my mom, auntie yoomi, and auntie lynda, and auntie helen are. we shopped until 12:00am! what were we doing? well, i can't really tell you. that's classified information. hohoho.

today, we hung out with aaron's uncle, john kim. he took us to eat for lunch [though it was breakfast for me]. the restaurant name and what we ate will be shown on tomorrow's post. i'm too lazy to do it right now. ugh i don't know how i'm going to go to school again.

we started packing today. i am officially sad. i could probably stay another month :( but my mom said we ran out of money. oh well. i will be back soon! i hope.

just thought i would give you a little snip it of what has been keeping me from blogging. just check back again at about 11:00pm, your time.

just because one is never enough

yes, i did turn 16 yesterday. am i happy about? well, i have mixed feelings about it. i love that i can finally get my license but at the same time, i REALLY don't wanna get any older. yes i want to fall in love, get married, and have kids really really soon but then again, i don't want all the worries that come with it. sigh, this is what sin has done. and it sucks. thankfully, we have a God that is wonderful, amazing, and MORE! ahh i can't wait to go to heaven.. it's gonna be AWESOME. :D

i did have a pretty good birthday though. i went to the jimjilbang and my halmoni gave me a birthday scrub. i think she did scrubbed harder than she has ever scrubbed before. alivia told me i was really red. haha. after that, we went to this kalgooksoo place that was [i don't know if this is really true] on tv! it was truly delicious. once we were done eating, we went to the mini mart and alivia and i bought some grape candy and banana milk. once again, remarkably scrumptious. we bought our snacks and went to the house. i put some of my stuff away and went to the dining room.. well it's kinda like a dining room.. then my mom brought out this beautiful cake! it was covered in strawberries and whipped cream, my favorite. we devoured the cake in seconds. literally. not really. after the wonderful snack, alivia and i watched mission impossible [we are currently watching the second one]. OMG. i almost forgot, my mommy bought me macarons :D

oh yesh, almost forgot another thing. today we went to changdeokgung palace and spent a couple hours touring the biwon secret garden. once the tour was over, we went home, got the kids ready for taekwondo, took them to taekwondo, then went to namdaemun. that's where we spent the rest of the day.

biwon hand kalgooksoo!!! my aunt said the hand part means it was handmade :)

boochoo kimchi. i didn't really like this but auntie yoomi ate A LOT.

now THIS  i like.

the famous kalgooksoo.

i now know why it is famous!

MY BANANA MILK. technically it's alivia's because we used her money but i like to say it's mine anyway

my beeyooootiful cake!

this cake was so good. i want more MOre MORE!

today, my mom told me i was 16. i almost screamed. i also put my head in my hands and shook it.

paris baguette is really awesome. anyone who comes to korea MUST check this place out.

pistachio macarons with a little gold on top ;)

right before we went on the secret garden tour! [lucas and i were talking about how it's not really secret if it's on a map haha]

my mother being a super tourist

i don't really remember where or what this is..

but i have a very good reason for it..

i couldn't understand a word the tour guide was saying..

yet it was an english tour..

i took a video of her though..

oh i know what this is!! this arch is supposed to never let you get old and give you power! O.O

enjoy the secret garden pictures

emily and logan were climbing on that thing and got in trouble..

man if they weren't cute....

nam.dae.mun.market.

best place to buy souvenirs

some ahjumma was selling raw chickens O.o

yeah.. can't really read that hahah

when we got there, they gave us oxtail soup. so yummy and warm

special kind of bibim guksu haha

it was REALLY SPICY. YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND. my mom was getting lightheaded HAHA.

alivia's portion of the bibim guksu. unsurprisingly, it wasn't that spicy to her -__-

my bibim naengmyun. had i known my mom and aunt were getting something spicy, i would've ordered the nonspicy one.

belgium waffle. i love you.

i love you so much i started eating you without taking a picture..

i love you so much, i told my mom to order another one.

look at your delicious fruit and ice cream

oh. where'd you go?

hello?!

anyone there... :(

yes. i had another "birthday cake" hahah. thanks mom. love you lots! <3
thank you daddy for working so mommy, alivia, and i can spend money in korea!!! love you tooooooo
